UNAI SDG Hub 13 Chair: University of the West Indies
The University of the West Indies is committed to the SDGs integrating the principles of the Goals throughout its teaching, research, and advocacy efforts. A primary research focus is climate change and sustainable development, which has garnered global recognition for the university as a leading source of information on Small Island Developing States. Over the past decade, The UWI has strategically formed joint global centres and initiatives with other institutions to promote advocacy and achieve development outcomes related to sustainable development.
In 2024, it established the International School for Development Justice (ISDJ)—the world’s first global business school dedicated exclusively to online graduate programs that emphasize leadership in the SDGs.

UNAI SDG Hub 13 Vice-Chair for Teaching and Education: University of Campinas
The University of Campinas (Unicamp), through its Sustainability Office, actively supports SDG 13: Climate Action by implementing projects that reduce environmental impact and enhance climate resilience. Key initiatives include campuses-wide energy efficiency programs, the creation of ecological corridors to strengthen local ecosystems, sustainable urban drainage systems to manage stormwater and prevent flooding using Nature Based Solutions, and the redesign of shared streets to promote low-carbon mobility. These efforts integrate climate considerations into infrastructure and planning, demonstrating Unicamp’s commitment to building a more sustainable and climate-resilient academic environment.
